What is developmental disability?
Who is disabled? What constitutes disability, and who sets that standard?
Are you disabled? Am I disabled?
Who is not disabled? How do you know? Are you sure?
The more I read, the more I study the issues relating to persons with disabilities, the more my long standing beliefs on the whole conceptual framework around "disability" is challenged. What I feel/believe/think about the social construction of children with "developmental disabilities" seems to be opposite to what I feel/believe/perceive about the social construction of adults with "developmental disabilities."
